Minutes of the June 18, 2008 President’s meeting 7:00 PM

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with chapters represented as follows

Minutes & Treasurer’s Report

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read and previously distributed. The Treasurer reported a balance of $11,319.09 in the Region Treasury, and provided details of transactions since the last meeting which were approved as written and distributed.

Federation Business

No new business.

Region Seven Business

Craig Owens, Bruce Pomeroy, Ivan Morris, and Brian Stump are trying to get the Release Boat ready for the Potomac River Tournament.

For the Potomac River Tournament, Rick asked that all Club Presidents have your club members check there Live Well systems. We had a lot of dead fish at the lake Kerr Tournament. We have chemicals for your Live Wells if anyone needs them. We need to protect the fish. All boats will be inspected at the floating dock at Smallwood, Live Well, Lights, Kill Switch.

The Family Fishing Clinic on June 7, 2008 at Munden Point and the Chesapeake Family Fishing Rodeo on June 8, 2008 at Northwest River Park, Susan said they went very well. Susan said at Munden point we had 118 children and 33 volunteers, this is the most volunteers she thinks she has seen at a youth event.

The next youth event will be on August 2, 2008 at Northwest River Park vice Oak Grove. Susan will need 12 or more volunteers. Munden Point Family Fishing Clinic for 4 October 2008, Susan will need at least 30 volunteers or more. Please get a list of volunteers to Susan as soon as possible. Susan is looking for a Hat or T-Shirt sponsor.

Mid year Roster updates are due at the next Region meeting. You can bring a copy or e-mail them to Randy at bigfishon@earthlink.net.
